# Merlin AI

An assistant that can read your data and build things for you.

Merlin AI opens from the floating button in the corner of any screen. It is a panel over
whatever you are looking at rather than a separate page, so you keep your place.

## What it can do

Merlin AI can reach the same data you can, for the modules your account has:

- **Reporting** — channel, campaign, ad-set, page, keyword, device, geographic and conversion
  performance; it can also build a dashboard or show a chart inline in the conversation
- **CRM** — create and update leads, add or update contacts and companies, manage tasks, log
  activities, search your records, and pull a full picture of one customer

Answers come back as readable blocks — paragraphs, headings, lists, tables and callouts — and
charts render in the conversation rather than as a link somewhere else.

## Asking well

It works best with a specific question. "Which campaigns lost conversions last month compared
to the month before" gets you further than "how is it going".

If you are on a contact or company record when you open it, the assistant knows which record
you are looking at, so you can ask about "this customer" directly.

## Sessions

Conversations are kept so you can resume, rename or delete them. Sessions expire after a
couple of hours of inactivity.

## What it will not do

Merlin AI only reaches modules your account has and data your account can see. It cannot act
outside your account, and it does not use your connected-platform data to train generalised
AI models.
