# Booking A calendar, the services you offer, and a public booking page for your customers. Open **Booking** in the sidebar. ## The calendar The calendar opens on the current period and can be viewed by day, week or month. From here you can: - Create a booking, choosing the contact, the service and the time - Open a booking to see its detail, reschedule it or cancel it - Filter what is shown by service, staff member or status ## Services Open **Booking → Services**. A service is something a customer can book: its name, how long it takes, and which staff can deliver it. Assign staff to a service so the public booking page only offers times when someone who can do the work is free. ## Availability Availability is set under **Booking → Settings**: - **Availability window** — how far ahead customers can book - **Minimum notice** — how close to the start time a booking can still be made - **Online booking** — the switch that turns the public page on and off ## The public booking page When online booking is on, your customers get a page they can book from without signing in. They pick a service, pick a staff member and time from what is genuinely free, and confirm with a verification step so the contact details are real. Customers can return to that page to see their bookings and reschedule, verifying themselves by email rather than by holding a password. ## Bookings and the CRM Booking contacts and CRM contacts are the same records. A booking made on the public page appears on that contact in the CRM, and a contact's bookings are listed on their CRM record. ## Notifications New, changed and cancelled bookings raise a notification in the app so the calendar is never the only place a change is visible.
